Since its establishment in 1995, the Key Peninsula Family Resource Center, operated by Akin (formerly called Children’s Home Society of Washington in the Key Peninsula region) has been dedicated to serving the Key Peninsula community with care and commitment.

Challenges related to staffing and funding have prompted a decision for Akin to transition away from Key Peninsula and transition the resources and services to more localized organizations and entities to best serve residents of the peninsula. This change takes effect as of May 1, 2024. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our supporters, donors, and community members for their support during our time on Key Peninsula. We are grateful for the impact we made together.
